Worth a look: what Pro notices in your entries
Pro reads the entries you add and points out a few things worth a second look, like an expense logged twice or a limit running ahead. Nothing changes until you decide.
Why use it
Mistakes and surprises are easiest to fix the day they happen, not at the end of the month.
Before you start
- Pro, the free trial or a family plan
- Some entries logged
How to do it
Open Today. When Pro has noticed something, "Worth a look" shows up to two items.
Read the line. It names the amount, the category or place, and the day.
Select the action to check it, for example "Open in Tracker", which opens the Tracker on that day, or "Open Limits".
If the entry is right, select "Both are real", "Looks right" or "Got it". The item goes away and is not shown again.
Open Moves to see everything Pro is watching, under "Watching for you".
What happens next: You fix a double entry or a surprise straight away, or confirm it is right and move on.
What Pro looks for
- Logged twice: the same amount for the same place within three days.
- Typed and imported: an entry you typed that your statement also brought in.
- Bigger than usual: at least three times what a category usually costs you.
- Limits: a category heading past the limit you set.
- Tight days: three days where more goes out than your plan has room for.
- Price rises: a standing charge that now costs more.
What it never does
Pro checks again each time you add entries. It only reads what you recorded: it never connects to your bank, and it never changes or deletes an entry for you.
When "Hide amounts" is on for Today, the figures in these lines are hidden too.
Tips and examples
- "Bigger than usual" needs some history for a category before it can tell what usual is.
If something goes wrong
I marked something as real and want it back.
Dismissed items stay dismissed. If the same thing happens again with new entries, Pro will point it out again.
Without Pro I see "Pro noticed 2 more things".
Pro Watch is part of Pro. Start the free trial or buy Pro to see each item (/help-center/buy-pro).
