Editorial Guidelines

Our Editorial Principles
Savingy publishes educational personal-finance guides and also offers a budgeting product. Our standard is to make the author, source material, assumptions and commercial interests clear enough for readers to assess each article. These guides do not replace advice tailored to your circumstances.
1. Authorship and Accountability
Each article names its recorded contributor. Human profiles show their author-provided professional background and published work; automated contributors are labelled separately.
- Human contributors: Rohan Maheshwari and Abhinav Banerjee have backgrounds in computer science, mathematics and finance. Their profiles link the qualifications and experience they have supplied.
- Clear attribution: A named author, a team byline and an automated assistant are different kinds of attribution. See the contributor directory for their profiles.
- AI assistance: Automated tools may assist drafting, calculation or editing. A human byline alone is not evidence of an independent professional review.
2. Accuracy and Verification
Financial rules, fees and product features can change. Readers should be able to trace a claim to its supporting material:
- Sources: Use the linked regulator, government, research or provider material in each article. A provider's product description is not an independent test of that product.
- Examples and methods: Hypothetical amounts are labelled as examples. Calculation notes explain inputs, assumptions and limits; downloadable data is provided where available. Worked examples are not measured customer savings.
- Dates and specialist review: Publication and update dates are separate. A specialist review is claimed only when an article identifies the reviewer and records the review; we do not infer CFP, CPA or other certification from a byline.
3. Transparency and Disclosure
Savingy has a commercial interest when a guide discusses its own product. The relevant article should disclose that interest, along with any applicable sponsorship or affiliate relationship. A documentation-based app comparison should not be presented as an independent hands-on ranking. Check current pricing, access and terms directly with the provider before deciding.
4. Corrections Policy
If you find an error, use our contact page and include the article URL, the claim in question and a supporting source. We assess the report and correct substantiated errors, adding a correction note where it helps readers understand the change. No response time or outcome is guaranteed.
