Paste bank messages to log them
Paste the debit and credit messages your bank sends, and Savingy turns them into entries for you to check before anything is saved.
Why use it
Copying a week of bank messages is faster than typing each entry, and nothing is saved until you check it.
Before you start
- Signed in
How to do it
On your phone, copy one or more debit or credit messages from your bank.
Open Import Inbox and paste them into "Messages".
Select "Read messages". Savingy says how many entries it found and how many it skipped.
Check each entry in the review list, fix any category, then import as you would a statement.
What happens next: Your bank messages become entries, saved only after you check them.
What is kept and what is removed
- Balances and account numbers are removed before reading.
- Messages are not stored. Only the entries you import are saved.
- One-time passwords, offers and reversals are skipped.
If something goes wrong
"No debits or credits found in what you pasted."
Paste the full bank message, including the amount and the words debited or credited.
"Those messages could not be read. Please try again."
Check your connection and try again. You can paste up to about 20,000 characters at a time.
